Bug List
The following are 20 bugs that I have observed along with why the bug exists:
- When the toothpaste falls off the toothbrush, it stays in the sink if it isn't removed right away.
- The toothpaste is a thick cream so it won't completely wash away with just water.
- When I fry something, I hate it when the oil starts popping everywhere.
- The oil is most likely reacting with water or the oil could be too hot.
- I hate walking out in public when it is dark.
- It is an uncomfortable setting for women.
- It bothers me when people don't put the toilet seat cover down when done with the bathroom.
- People don't think about the toilet cover, but some people are taught to put the toilet seat down.
- It bothers me when people are talking loudly in the library on the quiet floors, so it is harder for me to focus.
- This bug exists because they are probably studying with their friends and end up socializing.
- It bugs me when my peanut butter to jelly ratio for a sandwich is off, so there is usually more jelly than peanut butter.
- There is no measurement tool that is used.
- It bugs me when my eyeliner gets underneath my eyes, so it is hard to rub off without rubbing off my concealer.
- The eyeliner is a gel, so it is harder to remove.
- Sometimes one of the adjustable straps on my backpack ends up longer than the other, so one side is tighter than the other.
- The straps are easy to adjust by simply pulling on it. So the straps could end up being pulled on by something else.
- It bugs me when my room starts smelling like the food that is cooking in the kitchen because my room is right next to the kitchen.
- There is an opening underneath my door so the smell of the food is strong or the vent is not being used.
- It bothers me when my eyebrows don't look similar when they are supposed to look like "sisters."
- My natural brow shape on both sides are not exactly the same.
- It bothers me when my eyelash glue doesn't come off of my eyelashes even when I use a facial cleanser.
- The eyelash glue is advertised to be waterproof, and my facial cleanser doesn't advertise as a cleanser for waterproof makeup.
- Sometimes when I'm walking in sandals, I scrape the top of my shoes so it leaves a white mark.
- The sandals can be a little too big.
- Sometime when I wear matte liquid lipstick, it gets onto my teeth or something else and it's supposed to be transfer-proof.
- The liquid lipstick was probably not dried yet or there was more than one layer.
- It bugs me when leaves get into the hood of my car, so it makes it harder to clean my car after wards.
- The leaves are small, so it takes a longer time to remove the leaves.
- When I'm the passenger of a car, the driver doesn't slow down when going over speed bumps.
- The driver is in a hurry or they don't know the effects of going fast over speed bumps.
- It bugs me when the bathroom stalls in women's bathrooms have the little cracks in between the doors.
- The cracks are probably to help people see motion or an object in the stalls.
- During hurricane season, the lines for gas stations are long so there is no control or direction.
- There is a need for gas so people can drive out of the storm.
- It bothers me when drivers slow down when there is an accident on the side of the road, so it causes traffic.
- Drivers want to know what's going on and see how bad the accident is.
- It bugs me when I have fallout from my eyeshadow, so it causes a mess underneath my eyes.
- The eyeshadow is probably really pigmented or I use a lot to pack on the color.
- It bugs me when the shower is clogged, so the water is backed up in the tub.
- There is probably hair or an object in the drain.
Reflection
This assignment was challenging because I try to not let things bother me, but I realized that there are little things that still do bother me. It's part of human nature. It's cool to look at the bugs in a different way because I am able to see that there is a solution to the problem.
Hi Cathy!
ReplyDeleteAs I went through your bug list, I found your bugs to be so relatable! There were many that I did not include on my list, but found to be on point. In fact, there was not one bug on this list that I could not relate to. Overall, I thought that you did a great job coming up with these bugs, looking beyond your surroundings in this perspective. I also found this assignment to be fascinating, in the sense of addressing and evaluating the problems in the world before finding the solution. Again, great post!!
Hey Cathy!
ReplyDeleteI totally related to No. 16 and No. 19 (love the girl problems!) but yes, fallout from makeup and the cracks in the stalls are so annoying, especially for us girls! I also relate when you said that you try and not let things annoy you, so it was hard to make this list. It was also really hard for me to find 20 things that annoyed me, as I also try and not let all the little things impact me enough to be annoyed by them. Cool!
